Comparison review

The Sony Tablet S has a global score of 57.5, which is just a bit better than the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi's 55.1 score. The Sony Tablet S is a way thinner and lighter tablet than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, even though both were released only 2 months apart. Both tablets in this comparison come with Android OS, but the Sony Tablet S has the older 4.0 version and Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi has Android 4.1.2.

Sony Tablet S has a slightly better display than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 1280, the Sony Tablet S also counts with a just a bit greater display density. The Sony Tablet S has a CPU that is just as good as the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi one, both of them have a 1 GB RAM and a Dual-Core CPU.

Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi shoots clearer videos and photos than Sony Tablet S. They have the same video frame rates, the same (HD) video resolution and the same resolution back camera. The Sony Tablet S's memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is just as good as Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi's one, both of them have exactly the same internal storage capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 32 GB.

The Sony Tablet S has a really longer battery duration than Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi.

Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Tablet S, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi, letting go a couple specifications.
