Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is just a bit better than the Motorola XOOM, having a general score of 58.1 against 55.9. Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has the newer 4.0.4 version and Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0, providing the user some additional features and performance tweaks. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a notably thinner and way lighter portable tablet than Motorola XOOM, even though both of them were only released 1 months apart.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a bit more vivid display than Motorola XOOM. Both have the same resolution of 800 x 1280, a display with the same size and the same pixels density. The Motorola XOOM counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Both of them have the same number of cores.

Motorola XOOM counts with a superior memory for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Motorola XOOM also has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a very superior battery life than Motorola XOOM.

The Motorola XOOM shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Motorola XOOM also has a much better 5 megapixels resolution camera in the back and higher video frame rates.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is not only the best tablets in our current comparison, but it's also cheaper than the Motorola XOOM.
