Both tablets in this comparison have Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a newer 4.1 version and Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0, so it provides the user some nice extra features and increased performance.

The Motorola XOOM and the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) both have extremely similar CPUs, both of them have the same number of cores and a 1 GB RAM. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a little more vivid screen than Motorola XOOM, because although it has a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024px and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher pixel density.

Motorola XOOM and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) feature really similar storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos, both of them have an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB and exactly the same internal memory. Motorola XOOM takes clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have the same (HD) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Motorola XOOM also has a back facing camera with a way better 5 MP resolution.
