Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an overall score of 62.8, which is much better than Motorola XOOM's global score of 55.9. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a much newer portable tablet, and it's also way lighter and thinner than the Motorola XOOM. These devices have Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version while Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0, providing the user a couple additional features.

The Motorola XOOM features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a just a bit lower pixel density, it also counts with a bigger display and a bit higher 800 x 1280 resolution. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Motorola XOOM, because it has 512 MB more RAM memory and more CPU cores.

The Motorola XOOM counts with a little bit better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an external SD slot that supports up to 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 16 GB more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a superior battery performance than Motorola XOOM.

The Motorola XOOM captures better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. Both of them have a 5 MP camera, the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video resolution.

In addition to being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is also by far the cheapest, making it an obvious call.
