Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an overall score of 67, which is much better than the Motorola XOOM's general score of 55.9. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's body is much newer, noticeably lighter and noticeably thinner than the Motorola XOOM. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has 4.4 version and Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0.
Galaxy Tab Active features a bit superior CPU than Motorola XOOM, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory, a higher number of cores (and also faster) and an extra graphics processing unit. The Galaxy Tab Active features a brighter display than Motorola XOOM, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a higher amount of pixels per display inch.
Motorola XOOM features a better storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a way better battery life than Motorola XOOM.
The Motorola XOOM takes slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality, the Motorola XOOM also has a camera in the back with much more megapixels.
The Galaxy Tab Active is more expensive than the Motorola XOOM, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
