The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 is better than Motorola XOOM, getting a overall score of 64.9 against 55.9. Both of these devices work with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 has the newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0 version, offering some extra features. Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0's body is much newer, lighter and incredibly thinner than Motorola XOOM.

The Galaxy Tab E 8.0 counts with just a little better processing power than Motorola XOOM, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. The Motorola XOOM features a little sharper display than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a just a little lower pixels density, and they both have the same 800 x 1280px resolution, the Motorola XOOM also counts with a bigger display.

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 captures much better photos and videos than Motorola XOOM. Both of them have the same resolution camera in the back, the same (HD) video definition and the same video frame rate. The Motorola XOOM features just a bit bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy Tab E 8.0, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0 counts with a much better battery life than Motorola XOOM.
