Comparison review

The Sony Xperia Tablet S has a general score of 58.9, which is a bit better than the Motorola XOOM's 55.9 general score. The Sony Xperia Tablet S construction is newer, somewhat lighter and a little thinner than the Motorola XOOM. Both tablets we are comparing here include Android OS (operating system), but the Sony Xperia Tablet S has a more recent 4.1.1 version while Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0, providing some nice extra features.

The Xperia Tablet S features a little more vivid screen than Motorola XOOM, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Xperia Tablet S also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display. The Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with a very superior memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola XOOM, because it has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB and 32 GB more internal storage.

The Xperia Tablet S has a better processor than Motorola XOOM, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Xperia Tablet S also has a higher number of cores and an additional graphics processor. Motorola XOOM shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet S, although it has a lot less mega pixels back-facing camera.
