Xperia Tablet Z is a lot better than the Motorola XOOM, with a 67.2 score against 55.9. Xperia Tablet Z is a newer tablet, and it is also a lot thinner and lighter than the Motorola XOOM. These devices work with Android operating system, but Xperia Tablet Z has 4.2.2 version while Motorola XOOM has Android 4.0 version, so it offers a couple additional features and improved performance.
Xperia Tablet Z has a better hardware performance than Motorola XOOM, because it has a larger number of cores (and they are faster), a larger amount of RAM and a GPU. Xperia Tablet Z has a much more vibrant screen than Motorola XOOM, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a lot better 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a lot better screen density.
The Motorola XOOM captures clearer pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a way less megapixels back camera and a way lower 1280x720 (HD) video definition. Motorola XOOM has a quite bigger memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Xperia Tablet Z counts with a much longer battery duration than Motorola XOOM.
Xperia Tablet Z is a little more expensive than Motorola XOOM, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
