Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a score of 72.2, which is just a bit better than the Lumia 2520's 68.6 score. Microsoft Surface Pro 3's design is a lot heavier and a little bit thicker than the Lumia 2520. Both of these tablets include Windows OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has the previous 8.1 Pro version and Lumia 2520 has Windows RT 8.1 version.
Nokia Lumia 2520 counts with a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with 2 more processing cores and an additional graphics processor. The Nokia Lumia 2520 counts with a better screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a bit smaller display and a little bit lower 1080 x 1920px resolution, it also counts with a quite greater pixels number per inch of screen.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features much more memory for games and applications than Nokia Lumia 2520, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Nokia Lumia 2520 takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Nokia Lumia 2520 also has a camera in the back with a much higher 6.7 MP resolution.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Lumia 2520, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Lumia 2520. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some money and buy the Lumia 2520, resigning a couple features and specs.
