The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a global score of 68.7, which is just a bit better than the Lumia 2520's general score of 68.6. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 operating system, while Lumia 2520 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a somewhat thinner and incredibly lighter tablet than Lumia 2520, although both of them were released only a couple of months apart.
The Lumia 2520 features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a slower 450 megahertz graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM. Nokia Lumia 2520 features a much more vibrant screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a quite higher pixels amount per inch of display, a larger screen and a lot higher 1080 x 1920 resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it is way more expensive than Lumia 2520, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Lumia 2520. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, otherwise you can save some money and get the Lumia 2520, giving up some specs and features.
