Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is slightly better than Nokia Lumia 2520, having a global score of 69.8 against 68.6. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet works with Android 4.4.4 operating system, while Nokia Lumia 2520 counts with Windows RT 8.1 operating system. Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet's design is a lot lighter and extremely thinner than Nokia Lumia 2520, although both of them were only released with a couple months difference.
Nokia Lumia 2520 counts with a bit better display than Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, although it has a little bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and a just a bit worse pixels amount per screen inch, they both have a display of the same size. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia Z2 Tablet, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Lumia 2520, resigning some specifications.
