Comparison review
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 68.5, which is just a bit better than the OSCAL Spider 8's 64.4 general score. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (Operating System), but Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.2.2 version and OSCAL Spider 8 has Android 13 version, providing some nice extra features. Although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is much older than the OSCAL Spider 8, it's design is extremely thinner and much lighter.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a CPU that is just as good as the OSCAL Spider 8 one, because although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a smaller amount of RAM memory and 4 less processing cores , it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a lot better screen than OSCAL Spider 8, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit more brightness, a lot better number of pixels per inch of display and a higher 1600 x 2560 resolution.
The OSCAL Spider 8 counts with a superior storage for apps and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1 TB. OSCAL Spider 8 has a slightly better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, because it has a back camera with a way better resolution.
The OSCAL Spider 8 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.
