Microsoft Surface RT has a general score of 56.8, which is just a bit better than Panasonic Toughpad A1's score of 51.9. Microsoft Surface RT's body is much thinner and a lot lighter than Panasonic Toughpad A1, although they were released with only 7 months difference. Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT operating system, and Panasonic Toughpad A1 counts with Android 3.2 operating system.

The Microsoft Surface RT features a slightly better looking display than Panasonic Toughpad A1, because it has a bit more pixels per inch of display, a quite larger screen and a slightly better 768 x 1366 pixels resolution. Microsoft Surface RT has a little bit better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Panasonic Toughpad A1, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity.

Microsoft Surface RT features a quite better hardware performance than Panasonic Toughpad A1, because it has a larger number of cores , a graphics processor and a larger amount of RAM. The Panasonic Toughpad A1 takes much clearer photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a camera in the back with a much better 5 MP resolution.

Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, the Microsoft Surface RT is also very cheap compared to the other ones, making this tablet an obvious call.
