Microsoft Surface 2 has a global score of 63.4, which is better than the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1's 54.4 overall score. Microsoft Surface 2 comes with Windows RT 8.1 OS, while Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 has Android 4.0 OS. Microsoft Surface 2 features a screen that's just as good as the display in Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, although the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a bit higher screen pixels density, a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a way larger screen.
Microsoft Surface 2 has a little faster processor than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with more RAM memory and more cpu cores. The Microsoft Surface 2 features a much better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 48 GB more internal memory.
Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 captures much better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has a lot more mega pixels back facing camera. Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 and Microsoft Surface 2 have incredibly similar batteries.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
