The Galaxy Tab A (2016) is much better than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, with a 60.4 score against 54.4. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a newer 5.1 Lollipop version while Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 has Android 4.0, so it offers a couple nice extra features.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a CPU that's very similar to the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 one, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with a greater number of cores (but slower) and 512 MB more RAM memory. The Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 features a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A (2016), although it has a just a bit worse amount of pixels per display inch and a way lower resolution of 600 x 1024, they both have a same size display.
The Galaxy Tab A (2016) counts with just a bit more storage to store more apps and games than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, because although it has only 8 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that holds up to 200 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a much longer battery duration than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1.
Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a camera with a much higher resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
