Comparison review
Sony Tablet S is just a bit better than the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, having a global score of 57.5 against 54.4. These tablets include the same Android 4.0 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that. The Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 features just a bit better display than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a way smaller display and a much lower 600 x 1024 pixels resolution, it also counts with a quite better pixels density.
The Sony Tablet S has a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, and although they both have a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB, the Sony Tablet S also has 32 GB internal storage. The Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 features a little better processing power than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and a Dual-Core processor, the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 also has an extra GPU.
Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1 captures slightly better pictures and videos than Sony Tablet S, because it has a back camera with lot more mega-pixels. Sony Tablet S counts with a very superior battery performance than Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1.
Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy the Panasonic Toughpad JT-B1, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
