Comparison review
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a little bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, getting a 68.5 score against 65. Even when the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 were only released with a couple of months difference, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is way lighter and just a little bit thinner. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 comes with Android 4.2.2 operating system, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 operating system.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot better display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same display brightness, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a much better screen pixel density.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a larger number of cores and an extra GPU. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features as much storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 one, and although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has no external memory slot, they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 captures greater photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a back facing camera with lot more MP. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9's battery life is just as good as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 one.
