Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has an overall score of 65.1, which is a little bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 global score. These tablets come with Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a newer 8.1 Pro version while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 version. Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, we must note that it's also a lot heavier and a lot thicker.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a bit sharper display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a greater pixels density and a bit larger display. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a bit better performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a greater camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a lot better video resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a much greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2's battery lifetime is just as good as the battery duration in Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your budget.
