The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an overall score of 68.7, which is a little bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 score. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch construction is much lighter and a little bit thinner than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, even when both of them were released only a couple months apart. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with Windows 8 OS.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 2 cpu cores, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with an additional GPU. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 features a little more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a slightly better 768 x 1366px resolution and a larger display.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 features a bit more storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch takes greater photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. They have a same resolution camera, the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video definition.
Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a very superior battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, resigning some features and specifications.
