Galaxy Tab Active 3 is much better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, having a 79 score against 65. Galaxy Tab Active 3's body is extremely newer and noticeably lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's, although it's also somewhat thicker. Galaxy Tab Active 3 comes with Android 10 OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with Windows 8 OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 features a quite better processing power than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores (and faster). The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 counts with a bit sharper display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and much more pixels per inch of screen.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a way more MP camera and a way better (4K) video quality. The Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a superior storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Both have the same internal storage capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up a couple features and specs.
