Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a score of 67, which is a little bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's score of 65. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active construction is newer and notably lighter, but somewhat thicker than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with Windows 8 OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active's processor is very similar to the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 one, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has 512 MB lesser RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores and an additional GPU. The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a little bit better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a really smaller display and a bit lower 1280 x 800 resolution, it also counts with a quite better pixels count per inch of display.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, although it has a back camera with a much worse resolution and a lot lower 1280x720 video resolution. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 features a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
Galaxy Tab Active features a really longer battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some specifications.
