The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a general score of 74.6, which is better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's overall score of 65. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 body is somewhat lighter and just a little bit thinner than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, even when both of them were released with only a few months difference. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 works with Android 4.4 OS, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 OS.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have a same size display, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a way higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a much better pixels density. Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with slightly more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a better performing processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a larger number of faster cores and a graphics processing unit. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a much longer battery duration than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a much better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a camera with a way better 8 megapixels resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, letting go some features and specifications.
