Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is much better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, having a global score of 74.5 against 65. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4's construction is newer, thinner and much lighter than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 works with Android 4.4.2 operating system, and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 comes with Windows 8 operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a bit faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a greater number of faster cores and 1 GB more RAM. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a much sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better number of pixels per inch of display and a lot higher 2560 x 1600 resolution.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 captures much better photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video definition, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a way higher 8 MP resolution back camera. Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a slightly bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, although it has less internal memory capacity.
