Comparison review
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is just a bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, with a 71.3 score against 65. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact comes with Android 4.4 OS, while Samsung ATIV Tab 3 works with Windows 8 OS. The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact body is newer, notably lighter and incredibly thinner than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a better looking display than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 1920 x 1200px resolution and a much higher pixel density. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a greater memory for apps and games than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact counts with a quite superior hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has 1 GB more RAM memory, an additional graphics processing unit and more CPU cores. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact shoots a lot better videos and photos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also has a much more megapixels camera in the back.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a really longer battery performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up a couple features and specs.
