Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a global score of 72.2, which is just a bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 5's score of 69.2. Both of these devices work with Windows OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a more recent 8.1 Pro version while Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8 version. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is just a bit heavier than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, it's just a bit thinner and also newer.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a little bit better display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a much higher 1440 x 2160 pixels resolution, a bit bigger screen and a lot greater count of pixels per inch in the screen. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a little faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have 2 cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has 6 GB more RAM memory.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has a camera with way more megapixels. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a superior storage for games and applications than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 5. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, resigning a couple features and specs.
