Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is better than the Microsoft Surface RT, with a general score of 69.2 against 58.4. Although it's the best portable tablet in this review, the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 construction is a little heavier and a bit thicker than the Microsoft Surface RT. Both tablets in this comparison review have Windows operating system, but Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has 8 version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a bit better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have the same 768 x 1366 resolution, the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 also counts with a quite bigger display. Microsoft Surface RT features a bit faster processing unit than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Microsoft Surface RT also has more cpu cores and an additional GPU.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a greater camera than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a way more megapixels back facing camera. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a much greater memory for games and applications than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a much better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
