Comparison review
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a bit better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, getting a 69.2 score against 65. Both devices we compare here work with the same Windows 8 OS (Operating System). Even being the best in this comparison, we must note that it is also an older, somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier tablet.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a bit sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal 768 x 1366 pixels resolution, the Samsung ATIV Tab 3 also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a way bigger storage for games and applications than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 features a CPU that's very similar to the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 one, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and a Dual-Core processor. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a back-facing camera with a much better 8 mega-pixels resolution.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a really longer battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung ATIV Tab 5, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some features and specs.
