Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, with a 69.2 score against 67.8. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is an older, much heavier and a lot thicker tablet than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 comes with Windows 8 OS, and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS. The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a little sharper screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a little worse resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater pixels count in each display inch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1's processing unit is very similar to Samsung ATIV Tab 5's processing unit, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and more processing cores. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a much greater storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 features a way better battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a 6800mAh battery capacity against 4080mAh. Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 counts with a camera that is just as good as the camera in Samsung ATIV Tab 5, although the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 has a much less mega-pixels back camera.
Although Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung ATIV Tab 5, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, resigning some specs and features.
