Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 68.5, which is a bit better than Samsung Ativ Tab's 66.7 global score. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a newer tablet, and it is also way lighter and thinner than Samsung Ativ Tab. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.2.2 operating system, while Samsung Ativ Tab comes with Windows RT operating system.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 counts with an incredibly better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 1600 x 2560px resolution and a way higher pixels quantity per inch in the display. The Samsung Ativ Tab features a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 64 GB.
