Comparison review
Samsung Ativ Tab has a score of 66.7, which is a little bit better than the Lenovo ThinkPad 8's overall score of 64.2. Samsung Ativ Tab's design has the same thickness than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, but it's way heavier. Both tablets we are comparing here have Windows operating system, but the Samsung Ativ Tab has RT version and Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has Windows 8.1.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features a better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better pixel density and a way better resolution of 1920 x 1200. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 counts with a little bit better performance than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 also counts with a higher number of faster cores.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a little bit better camera than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a camera in the back with a much better 8 mega pixels resolution and a lot better 1920x1080 video definition. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features just a bit bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a much longer battery duration than Lenovo ThinkPad 8.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Lenovo ThinkPad 8. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Lenovo ThinkPad 8, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
