Comparison review
Samsung Ativ Tab is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface 2, with a general score of 66.7 against 63.4. These tablets have Windows OS, but the Samsung Ativ Tab has the older RT version and Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 version. Samsung Ativ Tab is a somewhat lighter tablet than the Microsoft Surface 2, but they are equally thin.
Microsoft Surface 2 features just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Microsoft Surface 2 also counts with a greater number of faster cores. Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a little bit better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a higher pixel density and a little bit bigger screen.
The Samsung Ativ Tab and the Microsoft Surface 2 feature extremely similar cameras, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has a much higher (Full HD) video quality, they both have a 5 MP back-facing camera. Samsung Ativ Tab has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface 2. Both of them have the same 64 GB internal storage.
The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface 2.
Samsung Ativ Tab costs a little more than the Microsoft Surface 2, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
