The Samsung Ativ Tab is slightly better than Microsoft Surface 3, having a global score of 66.7 against 66.3. Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a lot older and just a little thicker than Microsoft Surface 3, it's design is still a bit lighter. Microsoft Surface 3 has a little sharper screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a little bigger screen, a greater display density and a lot better 1920 x 1280 resolution.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a slightly better storage to install applications and games than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a bit faster processor than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and 2 more CPU cores.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a much better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 3. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a slightly better camera than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a much better 8 MP resolution camera and a way better video definition.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface 3. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface 3, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
