Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is a little bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro, getting a general score of 66.7 against 63.2. Both devices in our current comparison include Windows OS (operating system), but Samsung Ativ Tab has newer RT version and Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8 Pro, so it counts with a couple nice extra features. The Samsung Ativ Tab is a thinner and much lighter tablet device than the Microsoft Surface Pro, even when both were released only a couple months apart.
The Microsoft Surface Pro features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a better 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quite larger display and a better pixel density. Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit superior processor than Samsung Ativ Tab, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has a larger amount of RAM and a much better graphics processing unit working at 650 megahertz.
Samsung Ativ Tab shoots much clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit bigger storage for apps and games than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro.
Samsung Ativ Tab costs more money than the Microsoft Surface Pro, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
