Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab has an overall score of 66.7, which is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro 2's 65.1 general score. Both of these tablets come with Windows operating system, but the Samsung Ativ Tab has the newer RT version and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has Windows 8.1 Pro version. Despite of the fact that Samsung Ativ Tab is older than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, it's design is lighter and thinner.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a little sharper display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a better 1080 x 1920px resolution, a little larger screen and a higher screen density. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a CPU that is very similar to the processing unit in Samsung Ativ Tab, because although the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with more RAM.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 448 GB more internal memory capacity. Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a greater camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. They have the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is way more expensive than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Ativ Tab, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, resigning a couple specifications.
