Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a global score of 72.2, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Ativ Tab's global score of 66.7. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 design is newer, but a little thicker and extremely heavier than Samsung Ativ Tab. These tablets include Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has the previous 8.1 Pro version while Samsung Ativ Tab has Windows RT.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Samsung Ativ Tab have really similar processing units, because although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with more RAM. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a brighter display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has a greater display pixel density, a way higher resolution of 1440 x 2160px and a bigger screen.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 448 GB more internal memory. The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a much longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3's camera is very similar to the Samsung Ativ Tab one, and although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, they both have a 5 megapixels back facing camera.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 costs a little more than the Samsung Ativ Tab, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
