Samsung Ativ Tab is a bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, getting a 66.7 score against 65. These tablets include Windows OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Ativ Tab has a more recent RT version and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 version. Samsung Ativ Tab's design is a little bit lighter than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, but it's just a bit thicker and was released just 10 months before.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a bit superior processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit and 2 GB of RAM memory, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a graphics processing unit. The Samsung ATIV Tab 3 counts with a slightly better looking display than Samsung Ativ Tab. Both of them have the same display pixel density, an equal resolution of 768 x 1366px and a display of the same size.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a superior camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. They have the same video frame rates, a back facing camera with a 5 mega pixels and the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition. Samsung Ativ Tab features a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. They have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a superior battery life than Samsung ATIV Tab 3.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Samsung Ativ Tab, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some specs and features.
