Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is slightly better than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, getting a global score of 69.2 against 64.9. Even though Samsung ATIV Tab 5 and the Samsung ATIV Tab 7 were released only a couple months apart, Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is lighter and thinner. These devices use the same Windows 8 operating system, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding operating system features.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 features a slightly better screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, although it has way lesser pixels per inch of display and a much lower 768 x 1366 resolution, they both have a display with the same size. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a much faster CPU than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater number of faster cores.
Samsung ATIV Tab 7 counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB more internal storage capacity. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a superior battery lifetime than Samsung ATIV Tab 7. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a bit better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 7, because it has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
