The Galaxy Book 12-inch has a score of 80, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface 2's 63.4 global score. Galaxy Book 12-inch's body is newer and somewhat thinner, but somewhat heavier than Microsoft Surface 2. These tablets have Windows OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Book 12-inch has the older 10 version while Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 version.
The Galaxy Book 12-inch has a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has lesser cores , it also counts with more RAM.
