Comparison review
Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is much better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, having a 77.4 score against 67.9. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has newer 4.4.2 version and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 version, so it provides a couple additional features. Even being the best in this comparison, we must highlight that it is also an older, a bit thicker and extremely heavier tablet.
GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a bit better processing power than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has 1 GB more RAM memory and an extra graphics processing unit. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a little bit better display than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1600 x 2560 resolution, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a just a bit higher pixels density.
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with much more storage to store more games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, and although they both have the same internal storage, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 64 GB. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 captures a little bit better photographs and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). They have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition, the same video frame rates and a same resolution back-facing camera.
Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
