Comparison review

The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a little bit better than Google Nexus 7 (2013), getting a score of 77.4 against 70.8. These tablets include Android OS, but the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has older 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 7 (2013) has Android 5.0 version. Although the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) and the Google Nexus 7 (2013) were only released 1 months apart, Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s construction is heavier but a bit thinner.

Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a slightly better screen than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has a just a little worse pixels density, it also counts with a really larger screen and a better 1600 x 2560px resolution. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a lot bigger memory to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 64 GB and more internal storage capacity.

The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a bit better hardware performance than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have 4 CPU cores, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has a better graphics processing unit and more RAM. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a really longer battery performance than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has an 8220mAh battery capacity.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has just a bit better camera than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), although it has a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a lot worse 5 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.

Although Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Nexus 7 (2013), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Nexus 7 (2013). If you prefer to save some money, you can get the Google Nexus 7 (2013), giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
