Comparison review

The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a bit better than the Google Nexus 9, getting a score of 77.4 against 74.5. The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) design has the same thickness than Google Nexus 9, but it is much heavier. These tablets work with Android OS, but GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has 4.4.2 version while Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0 version.

The Google Nexus 9 features a bit better performance than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, a lower number of cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a 64 bits processor. Google Nexus 9 counts with a screen that is very similar to the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) one, although the Google Nexus 9 has a little smaller screen, a just a little worse pixels density and a little worse 2048 x 1536 resolution.

Google Nexus 9 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). They have the same video frame rates, a 8 mega pixels back facing camera and the same (Full HD) video definition. The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a lot bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Google Nexus 9, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB and 64 GB internal storage.

Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features improved battery life than Google Nexus 9, because it has 8220mAh of battery capacity.

Although GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Google Nexus 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Google Nexus 9. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Google Nexus 9, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
