The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an overall score of 82.4, which is a bit better than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s 77.4 global score. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) comes with Windows 10 Pro operating system, while GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) body is much newer, but a lot heavier and just a bit thicker than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a bit worse 1600 x 2560 resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher amount of pixels per display inch. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 1000 GB internal memory capacity.
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features just a bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor and a higher number of cores. Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), resigning a couple specifications.
