The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an overall score of 82.4, which is a bit better than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s 77.4 global score. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) comes with Windows 10 Pro operating system, while GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) comes with Android 4.4.2 operating system. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) body is much newer, but a lot heavier and just a bit thicker than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition).

The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a bit worse 1600 x 2560 resolution and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher amount of pixels per display inch. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 1000 GB internal memory capacity.

So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), resigning a couple specifications.
