Comparison review
The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, getting a 77.4 score against 68.7. Although it's the best in our current comparison, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is an a little bit thicker and extremely heavier tablet device than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. These devices include Android operating system, but the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has the newer 4.4.2 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 version.
Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with an incredibly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a bigger screen, a much higher 1600 x 2560 resolution and a lot better screen pixel density. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has a weaker graphics processor, it also counts with 2 more processing cores and more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a little bit better camera than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), although it has a much lower 5 megapixels resolution back camera and a way lower (HD) video quality. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has 64 GB internal memory.

Although GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
