Comparison review

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has an overall score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4's 74.5 global score. Both of these tablets use the same Android 4.4.2 operating system. Although it's the best device in our current comparison, we must tell that it's also older, notably heavier and somewhat thicker.

The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a slightly better looking display than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 2560 x 1600px, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also counts with a bit greater display density. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features more storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has an external SD slot that supports up to 64 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because although it has lesser cpu cores , and they both have the same RAM amount, the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. The Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a really longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4, because it has an 8220mAh battery size against 4900mAh.

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 takes much clearer videos and photos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Both of them have the same 1920x1080 video definition, a camera with an 8 megapixels resolution and the same video frame rates.

Although Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. If you want to save some money, you can buy Galaxy Tab S 8.4, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
