The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 68.5, which is just a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1's general score of 66.3. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a newer tablet device, and it's also somewhat thinner and lighter than the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. Both of these devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has older 4.2.2 version and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has Android 4.4.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a superior performance than Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory and 4 processing cores, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 also has a GPU.
