Comparison review

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro, with a score of 66.3 against 63.2. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with Android 4.4 OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro has Windows 8 Pro OS. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a noticeably lighter and thinner device than Microsoft Surface Pro, even when they were only released with a couple of months difference.

The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has more pixels per inch in the display, a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a little bigger display. Microsoft Surface Pro features a bigger storage to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

The Microsoft Surface Pro features a little better performance than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has 2 less cpu cores , it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor and 2 GB more RAM. The Galaxy Note 10.1 takes a bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a camera with a much better 5 mega-pixels resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro.

Despite of being the best tablet of the ones in this comparison, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is also cheaper than the Microsoft Surface Pro, which makes it a very good choice.
