Comparison review

Galaxy Note 10.1 is a bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, getting a 66.3 score against 65.1. The Galaxy Note 10.1 body is notably thinner and a lot lighter than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, even though it was released a little bit over a year before. The Galaxy Note 10.1 works with Android 4.4 operating system, while Microsoft Surface Pro 2 works with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has less processing cores (although faster), it also counts with more RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has a little bit larger display, a way better resolution of 1080 x 1920px and more pixels per inch of screen.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory. Galaxy Note 10.1 has a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Both of them have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a much longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Microsoft Surface Pro 2, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
