Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is much better than Microsoft Surface RT, having a 66.3 score against 58.4. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a just a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter device than the Microsoft Surface RT, even though both were only released 4 months apart. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with Android 4.4 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Microsoft Surface RT count with quite similar screens, because although the Microsoft Surface RT has a little lower pixel density, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 768 x 1366px and a little bit bigger display. The Microsoft Surface RT has a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM and 4 processing cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also has a graphics processor.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a greater storage capacity for apps and games than Microsoft Surface RT. Both of them have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 takes much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same (HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a way better resolution camera.

So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, else you can save some money and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, resigning a couple features and specifications.
