Galaxy Note 10.1's construction is incredibly heavier but somewhat thinner than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and they were only released 0 months apart.
Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a bit superior processor than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a higher number of cores and 1 GB more RAM. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a lot lower resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater display density.

If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
