Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has an overall score of 66.3, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0's 65.6 general score. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has the older 4.4 version while Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has Android 4.4.2. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 construction has the same thickness than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, but it's noticeably heavier.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with a brighter screen than Galaxy Note 10.1, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 also counts with a better number of pixels per inch of screen. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 has just a little better performance than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, although it has a camera with much less MP and a lower 1280x720 video resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because it has a 75% greater battery size.
Although Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
